The Company

The process of buying goods, materials and services is described extensively in the Policies and Procedures Manual of the Port of Iquique. This started when one of the areas the company is creating the need to purchase any service, product or material.

There are three ways to make purchases:

a) through agreements with local trade (library and printing)

b) By LISA purchasing system (computer system used by the Accounting Port of Iquique) through purchase requests and asking for quotes to suppliers registered on the requested item (at least 3 suppliers invited to participate) and

c) Through the portal ChileCompra - or (www.mercadopublico.cl) - Express catalog.

The bidding process for works and services is described extensively in the manual of policies and procedures of the Port of Iquique.

Tendering is the process of listing the execution of a project or providing a service in the local, national and international levels.

There are three types of bids:

- Tenders closed (at least 3 guests).

- Public Bids ChileCompra through the portal (www.mercadopublico.cl) through sale of bases and through publications in national and international newspapers.

- Direct quote to consultants or contractors specializing in issues related to the port level.
